Hello,
Now I want you to be totally and completely truthful.
Ask yourself: "Remember a time when I was totally being myself"
In "being myself" I mean doing exactly what you wanted with exactly who you wanted when exactly you wanted with absolutely no reservations.
OK, again. "Remember a time when you were totally being yourself."
Got it? if not, repeat the question until you do. How does it feel? Good eh!
True freedom is being able to be yourself the majority of time. This is why many people engage in personal development activities. They want to be more themselves without all the baggage that tends to accumulate over life. This starts in childhood and continues over time until the question above prompts much deeper self examination: "Who am I truly being?".
One exercise that works for me is to write down exactly what "being myself" really means. This action can be very liberating indeed, mostly because it is rarely undertaken.
So, give it a try. You may be very surprised at the results. In any event, it will certainly give you a lot to think about!
Have an awesome week,
Malcolm
